Rajan Rao: Government is taking away children from nutrition by not supplying mid-day meal

Rajan Rao: Gurugram: Haryana: Congress state secretary Rajan Rao, through a press note issued to the media, said that the children should not fall prey to malnutrition while waiting for supplies from the government. In fact, the students of government schools in Gurugram district have not yet been given money for ration and cooking costs.

As per the Haryana government announcement, students of classes 1 to 8 were to be given dry ration and some cash money as cooking cost for 48 working days of May and June. Although the distribution should have been completed by May 12, many children are still waiting. Rao also said that most of the other districts of the state are on the verge of completing the distribution process. In Gurugram, ISKCON has been contracted to distribute rations to schools, but they are still awaiting supplies from the government.

The question arises that in times of such trouble, when the parents of those students may not be able to earn anything, will this attitude of the government not increase the problems of those children and family members? Rajan Rao said that it is a shame not to reach his mid-day meal. In such a situation, will the children be getting the food and nutrition that is ensured in the mid-day meal. If you are facing any problem in getting ration, then at least that amount should have been sent to the accounts of the parents of the children.

Rao says that the Khattar government should show sensitiveness in this matter. If the government does not resolve it soon, it should not happen that the children who are called the future of the country become malnourished.
